"While I was driving down the road I looked and saw this tree and the lighting around the tree looked very astonishing. So I had to stop and take a snapshot of this image for this assignment. This area also has a lot of growth and darkness at the same time."

"I was walking around the baseball field with my wolfpack and I had to take a picture with human interaction. So I wanted to take a picture of my wolfpack pushing on a tree, and make it symmetrical as well."

"We had to shoot a reflection image for this assignment as well. When I walked to the parking lot I saw some awesome mirrors on a hummer that stood out. So I thought it would be cool if I just took a picture of the parking lot. I didn’t intend on getting some of the mirror cut off, like I said I just took the photo. When I looked at it I thought it looked nifty with the cars combining together and shifting different directions."

" I didn’t think you could turn a plain picture into something abstract. It was such a good experience. When I shot this photo it was just leaves blurred, it was cool but just too plain. When I went to edit this photo I tried so many different effects, but it still looked the same. So I tried another effect that I have never heard of before, which pushed the photo in a whole new direction."

"For this photo, I photo-shopped the cow head from another picture I shot and pasted it onto Patrick's head. I think this picture is funny because it looks like the head was naturally there and that the person beside him doesn't really notice anything abnormal beside him."

"The assignment was to take close up photographs, so I decided to take a close up of my friend Jake. I decided to make the picture more interesting when playing with photoshop. I added a picture of my friend Brittany into his eyes to resemble what goes through every teenage boys minds constantly, girls."

"We were instructed to take pictures with varying angles. I was just walking around and found a telephone pole with a wire hooked to the ground, and I thought that if the camera was angled upward, it would become an interesting photograph."

"When I was shooting photos for this assignment one of the requirements was interesting angles. I was on the ground for a bit and thought taking high-angled shots of tall objects would prove to be interesting. Well, most of them were very interesting but the subjects didn’t really catch the eye well enough. I thought some well-rounded photoshop would help. I wanted to portray the photograph as something that it really wasn’t. Looking at it at first you wouldn’t realize that its just a telephone pole and I wanted to accomplish this sort of patterned odd commodity. I feel like I did achieve this expectation of the photograph to a certain extent."

"In this assignment I was included in a group to walk around school and take pictures with certain requirements. Two of the requirements were depth of field and complimentary colors. I caught my friend photographing an object on the brick wall and noticed that the moss was a bleached yellow and she was wearing a purple shirt and she was fully unaware that I was taking the photograph. Plus, my camera only seemed to focus on the wall instead of her and it put the wall into very fine detail which I think changes the feel of the photograph."

"This shot is one where I caught her off guard. She was focused and concentrated on getting the perfect shot. I like that it is not posed and she's really into what she's doing and her face shows how much she wants that perfect shot."

"I zoomed into the side of an air conditioner on the outside of the school. There were a bunch of wires and colors so I thought it would be cool for one of my abstract shots. It has a lot going on and makes you question exactly what it is you're looking at."

Best Bus Ride Ever / "This was one of my favorite abstract pictures I've taken. The best part about this picture is the lighting. Using the glow feature in photoshop really set this picture off and made it unique."

" This picture was taken angled at the side of the a snack machine with a piece of gum plastered to the side. I liked the reflection that the metal of the snack machine gave off and the gum was a pretty cool prop to work with."

"I took this abstract photo of a broom at an interesting angle and put a photoshop "plastic" filter over it. I like this filter because it makes the broom look like delicious caramel and chocolate... or maybe that's just end of the day hunger talking."

" In this photo, I was trying to create movement to push a narrative. In the original photo there wasn't much blur, so in photoshop I used the "clone stamp tool" to basically add the image into multiple places."

"In this photo, it started off as being an ordinary picture of a drink machine, but I used photoshop to make the picture more interesting. I cropped Hannah out of another picture and placed her into the drink machine. I then created the word "Hannah" in the digital label. I love that part because you have to actually look for it to notice."

We Just Cut The Semester In Half.

"I was mimicking the work of Richard Avedon. He captures models in motion and had a lady stepping off a street corner in one photo. I decided to put my own spin on it by having my model stepping off an old car. The photograph turned out really well! The balance of light in the corner aids in creating a floating atmosphere."

"When I took this photo I appreciated the balance with the sun coming in on the left and the background information on the right. When I look at the picture I think about how everything is the center of attention, not just one particular thing."

"I was trying out different angles and discovered the staircase appearing horizontal. I thought it gave the subject of the picture an interesting appearance as the usually vertical balance becomes horizontal."

"When I was taking this photo I was basing it off the work of photographer Ralph Gibson. His work usually includes people at interesting angles while focusing on hands in a lot of his photographs. He also shoots his photos in black & white with great contrast."

"In this photo I really wanted to get down to the cat's level which took like 3 hours of following it around! Animals don't have any awareness of the camera and I thought it would be great to follow around a subject that was potentially unaware of the situation."

First Go At The 35mm Camera!

"In this photo it was my first time using a 35mm camera for an assignment. I wanted to test how well I could capture energy and movement without creating too much blur. I'm happy with this image in how it portrays the personality of the dog pretty well."

"This assignment involved taking photos that reveal how we see the world. So for this photo I captured my friend as she was picking up money we found on the ground. I thought this showed how the world was because people always take what they can get, even if it doesn't belong to them. Sometimes people are just all about money and power."
